Mission

Mission

Six lines of work, and the manner in which we have set out to follow them.

The Euxinus Foundation works to preserve and pass on the cultural heritage of Old Europe, through research, education and creative work.

Lines of work

Memory and identity

Documented research into the cultural memory of the Carpathian–Pontic region: gathering, ordering and circulating the testimonies that give it continuity.

Education

Educational programmes for the young at the foundation’s educational centre: study, workshops and formation outside school routine.

Creative work and the arts

Support for musical creation and the applied arts, through the music centre and the foundation’s workshop, with attention to craft and apprenticeship.

Books and publishing

Publication of research and of heritage editions through the “Euxin” editorial partnership.

Civic life

A framework for dialogue and encounter for the civic groups under the aegis of the foundation, in a spirit of responsibility towards the community.

Solidarity

Projects in support of disadvantaged persons, carried out without publicity, out of respect for those who receive them.

How we work

  1. The document takes precedence over opinion: every public statement rests on a source.
  2. Continuity instead of campaigns: projects followed over years, not seasons.
  3. The autonomy of partner institutions, within a shared framework.
  4. Transparency in the administration of resources towards sponsors and authorities.

Support this work

The resources of the foundation come from donations, sponsorships and dividends.
